Chevrolet to introduce Orlando based family crossover and Camaro

After Cruze in 2009 and Spark in 2010, Chevrolet’s centenary year 2011 will usher in five more exciting Chevrolets for Europe. Chevrolet Europe will launch an all-new family vehicle, based on the Orlando show car, and the legendary Chevrolet Camaro, both as coupé and convertible. Other models will also join the European line-up.

Orlando show car is a practical seven-seater, a crossover between a compact SUV and an comfy MPV.

Featuring three rows of seats in a theatre-style layout, the Orlando’s interior can easily accommodate up to seven adults, yet when the need arises the cabin can be quickly transformed to give a large, flat load carrying area.

The driver’s environment is particularly well detailed, with a steeply raked centre console incorporating the gear lever, brushed metal-effect details and smart blue-backlit dials.

Orlando show car is powered by 2.0-litre 150PS common rail turbo-diesel engine developing 320Nm of torque, sourced from the Italian partner. This engine has been used in Epica sedan, as well as in Captiva SUV.
